Happy Holidays Charlie

Yippee, it’s every child’s favorite time of year! Learning can happen anywhere, and in this holiday episode of Charlie & Company, the “school zone” is a hospital. Miss Ellie and her sister Evie, with the help of Dr. Feldman, deliver gifts, as they also help solve the “puzzle it out” question of the day. We have always known our Anywhere Teacher has many gifts and talents, but in this festive episode, she plays the piano and sings. Not just any song, mind you, but a one-of-kind version of “12 Days of Christmas.” No swans-a-swimming but lots of new hilarity that will tickle funny bones. Important learning is happening, too, as Nestor the Adventure Mouse asks who would be the one to fix the situation at hand: a mechanic, a magician, or a doctor. Then Levi Cottonwood leads a lesson in “which is heavier,” and Jaz the Tiger names parts of the body--elbow, ear, and ankle—and asks some questions about how to “treat” them. This is definitely a wild, yuletide learning read that also helps prepare little ones for learning success.
